Guitars For Sale

Aside from body style the main differences in my guitars will be the neck shape (finger-style or slim taper) and the width at the 12th fret and bridge pin spacing.

Finger-Style – typically has a “C” profile and is based on older Gibson L-00’s and pre-war Martins such as the 1931 Martin OM. Most have 2-1/4″ bridge pin spacing. This profile and width is good for finger-style and allows the player to intonate frets higher up on the fretboard. The “C” shape allows better wrapping of the thumb on the low E string.

Slim Taper – typically has less mass on the cheeks of the neck and is typically 2-1/8″ at the 12th fret and 2-3/16th” or 2-5/32nd” bridge pin spacing.

                         Finger-Style                                                                          Slim Taper

Actual shape may vary slightly due to each neck being carved and sanded by hand.

Jewitt Guitars Mission Oak Series

These 2 guitars are built using quartersawn white oak that’s been stored in my shop for over 20 years. One of my other passions is building furniture in the Arts and Crafts style. These 2 guitars are both 000 12-fret models and both are excellent players. Oak has what I call a “crunchy”sound and these 2 sound great for old time rags and blues. We make these with a standard 1-3/4” nut and solid peghead.

Jewitt Used Guitars

I buy factory guitars from time to time to study or just because I want to play something different that I normally don’t make (like a 12-string). All my used guitars have been checked out and are playable and structurally sound. They have been stored in a humidified, non-smoking environment. Some may have defects or cosmetic issues as noted in descriptions. These instruments are not guaranteed by Jewitt Guitars for future problems related to factory workmanship.

See photos below for location of cracks. Comes with hard case. Limited warranty which I will discuss with prospective buyers.
